Right, I mean the idiot in the video literally tries to justify the fact that because Facebook sells metadata to the Chinese that why is it a problem for Tik Tok to collect actual audio/video/keylogging info. So, you know it must be Israel "I've never seen a bill pass so fast, must be Israeli donors" while conveniently not linking actual donors to the nays of the bill. Well, it's because the idiot "journalist" in the video is selective in what he pays attention to. I'm sure all of the white hats and bug bounty hunters don't know what they're talking about. It's not as if we're knowledgeable or have found the same kind of malware in other Chinese apps and devices that were banned. This idiot does of course. You know; Because social justice.
 
Let's not forget that TikTok is available again, so whatever supposed security threats existed before are still there and no less pressing. The only notable difference is now "Free Palestine" is flagged as hate speech. Considering the government has clearly moved towards the idea that speech, information and ideas can be dangerous, perhaps this was the problem all along. But ultimately, who cares? It's an app that American users like to use. They want to see the content and upload their own. They should be free to assume whatever risks they decide — it's their data.
