Sounds really different as the other Diezel amps. Was this recorded with cranked Master Volume or is this all preamp gain, cause the sound reminds me a lot of power tube compression, there is this typical sag which i like a lot. Kinda old school. Was the Gain Sound all channel 2?

It's pretty low volume actually. It sounds better cranked, but everyone likes to know how it sounds at bedroom volume. It feels different and sounds different than any other Diezel. It's still sounds thick but with a different emphasis in the midrange and slightly sharper treble response than say the DMoll. I used the same EQ settings, , basically 12:00, for all channels. I used channels 1, 2, and 3. I literally did this before leaving to work because I haven't had time to export this 2 hr. track and create an MP3. I will get to that this weekend.

It's basically the redefined Schmidt. Class A/B now with excellent reverb, and better features. I love this simple layout. It's not a midrangey amp, more balanced with sharper highes. I love the amp, but out of the box it sounded a little dry and brittle. after some transformer break in and switching out all those lame Chinese tubes, the amp is fuller and smoother for me now (I put in JJ EL34L's and JJ gold 12ax7's). I'm sure after a year of playing it, it will even sound better. Extremely versatile amp from pure usable clean to hard hitting high gain. While it has a more classic rock vibe compared to all the other diezels (pure Metal amps), the Paul still has the Diezel sound that is tighter, more controllable, and has more ballsy low end then your average modded Marshall style amps. I would have called it the "Modern Classic".....although Rick from Wizard already controls that name. I have one of those too! Lastly, it sounds and feels like a 45 watt amp, so you really can't compare it to all it's bigger brothers stark heavy hitting thump. Defintely has better feel then the 100-120 watters. I'm using a couple different Les Pauls; one with PAFs, and one with Hot Bareknuckles. Both guitars love the amp. So far, my Mills 4x12 with V30's sounds the best, and V30's are not my favorite speakers. All Diezels just sound really good with V30's.
Overall, I would definitely recommend it.
