Some Sykes Like Noodling.

I felt like playing some Sykes (Whitesnake) because his name keeps coming up. Great player. This is certainly not note for note n'or was I trying to capture his tone, just playing in the style of because today is a good day!! Axe-Fx III of course.

To avoid the string gage question: I'm using 9-42's and 8-38's now because of Parkinson's Disease. Look at my older videos where I had the same vibrato with 10-52's. LOL. The guitar in this video has 8-38's but I may return to 9-42's as the medication seems to be doing it's job. I'll do whatever I need to keep playing.

I missed the Parkinson's announcement, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully the drugs and therapy have helped to mitigate its effects. I was on ropinirole for RLS and while effective, I hated the side effects. I know that medicine has made huge strides in the last fifteen years, hopefully the next will bring a cure. I'm not religious, but you have my thoughts and all the positive vibes I can send.

Already told you this on your FB post but killer as always my friend. Glad you are feeling better. You do what you gotta do to keep playing. Doesn't matter if you play 8's,9's,10's or 11's you still sound awesome. I can't play 10's anymore even tuned down a 1/2 step. I've got some left hand issues and 9's are the only way it's comfortable to play. Keep the videos coming!
