He posted this over on Facebook. Yeah, I'm a fanboy, and friends with him over there. He actually lives here as well.

Anyway, I found it pretty raw sounding, dug his tone. Sounds like an unboosted cranked JCM800! Slicing. Gotta love those sweet harmonics. Nice and raw.

Sounds awesome.. i think it might be an opened up JCM800 but there might be some assist by something like an EQ pedal. Thank god you wrote "vintage" because if this were new, I'd say their look is off by 20 years :P

He is a killer with KD

Word. Loved Larocque/Blakk. Best duo ever. No, not Downing/Tipton, not Murray/Smith, Larocque/Blakk. That's my .02, (and I love Priest & Maiden).

They were amazing together. Unfortunate it didn't last. I wore Conspiracy out when it was released.

I went through 2 cassettes of Them and 3 of Conspiracy. I went through 2 CD's of each too!

Not to mention The Eye.

Whenever my old band MercyKill covered a KD song, I always did the Blakk leads. We did Welcome Home, Sleepless Nights and a couple others. We recorded a version of Welcome Home. Vocals are NOT very King though... I did the Blakk lead.

This is pretty bad ass. Wish this album was on the streaming services. Has Wade Black on vocals. I loved him in Crimson Glory.

I was in a project with Wade Black, and Emo Mowery from Nocturnus and met Wade. Probably around 2002? His vocals during rehearsals were pretty sick.. Dude was like Rob Halford, maybe more Ripper Owens.

Needless to say, I was still learning songs, and later couldn't commit, and had to move away. Bummer, Richard Christy ended up doing the drums..

This was 16-17 years ago. I had to buy my first 7-string to learn the songs, and was quite the experience! I sold it when I moved and never played another since... Kinda been wanting to try one again.
