Soooo... Will the EVH 5150-III Stealth Blow My Skirt Up?

Ordered mine from Musicians Friend this morning. Im guessing I'll get it next week sometime.

For those of you that have one…….do you boost the stealth ? Im hoping to not have to boost the blue channel. The red does not need a boost on any of these and the 50 watt blue channel is great.

My 5153 "standard" should appear in the classifieds in a few weeks…..

I'm a boost person and I read the blue channel takes a boost very nicely.
 
We sold out our 15 half stacks and can't get more…:-(
 
Arend Raby at Sweetwater can get them for people. EVH made more of them for some bigger outfits it seems. The are shipping next week.

BLUE has so much gain I don't see you needing to boost it. Totally kicks ass :rock:

thats what I figured when I bought it but to get some positive confirmation is awesome.

I think the amp is going to be a midi jack shy of being the perfect machine for me. I love my 5153 100 watt and 50 watt. I had to have the Stealth when I got the email saying it was in stock.
 
I think the more important question here is, why are you wearing a skirt?
 
Its only a skirt if you wear underwear under it.....Otherwise its a kilt ;)
 
boosting is not always about getting more gain :doh:
it's about feel, clean boost vs overdrive/distortion is an exact science :rock:

I'm a boost Whore...

I use my OD-9 or my Vintage Tube Screamer Reissue on everything...

Yup, its a preference thing.... I boost just about everything with a maxon mostly because of the feel

I started a nice trend for them...

Mine will be here tomorrow due to UPS plane mechanical issues in Louisville Kentucky...

I can't stop playing my 5150iii 100S...all of the other heads (except the 410HJS and 5150ii) have gone largely unplayed.
anyone interested in an SLO with all the mods? :yes: :thumbsup:

I asked this in the other thread but do you guys that have the S feel its so good, worth trading/selling a Bogner 101b for? I would still have the XTC 20th
 
Just looking for an opinion from someone who has one of these and also has or had a Bogner 101b. Time is running out for me to order if I want to get one. Thanks guys
