Dave probably thought it would be more "radio friendly" to get more plays on pandora or whatever music streaming to bring in new listeners. If that's case I think it's a bit of a miscalculation on his part. I dig the lead licks and solo part, but the rest isn't Megadeth enough. I'm guessing most Megadeth fans think similar. And it likely too harsh for new listeners.

Weak and forgettable song. Cringey video. An AI-slop color and shape visualiser would have been better than that attempt to look young and edgy (OMG the lead singer displays the MIDDLE FINGER!!!), the at least then it would be obvious they put very little effort into it. That skate video is evidence that someone tried to care, spent money and peoples time on production and it still turned out like that.

It's a shame that some bands at their level and tenure seem to be content in a bubble surrounded by yes-men that can't/don't ever seem to say "Nah, thats not good enough to release"

It's bland, and I don't think the video is doing it any favors. What's the rest of the album like, that this is what they're leading with? Even though I think Dave is a crazy asshat, he's tended to have stronger showings in the last couple of decades than Metallica. All the hype over this being their last album, and I'm afraid it's gonna be a whimper.

There was a time too when I think Megadeth were more collaborative, even despite the revolving door of guitarists/drummers. The more it became a Mustaine solo project though, the less interesting it got. Is he producing and directing the videos too, a la Malmsteen? lol
