I’ll show you all a forgotten piece of history…a time when the Ottoman Empire (present day Turkey) would send ships to raid coastal Icelandic villages to loot and pillage and take white people as slaves to be sold in African/middle eastern markets.

This is a first hand account. Not some made up story. Remember this next time you start to hear the reparations nonsense.

 
The Ottomans also raided European Mediterranean and even more, Black Sea coasts for white slaves. They raided the Black Sea and slavic coasts so much that Slavic is where the term slave comes from.

Even the US had our ships raided in Mediterranean - Americans were taken as slaves. America declared war (our first after the Revolution) on the Barbary Pirates (Ottomans) in Tripoli, in what's known as the Barbary Wars; Thomas Jefferson sent our Navy and Marines to protect our ships...including the USS Constitution. It's also where the phrase "to the shores of Tripoli" in the Marines' Hymn is from.

its funny how no one in the broader world seems to remember these things...just insane.
