I was in MBeach last week...saw lots of Colombians...and some folks from Columbia, Kackilacky
Anywho,,, my bride, and youngest girl LOVE country music, so we went to the COH. Good show...talented, talented bunch of folks (BTW...regardless of the genre, music is SO MUCH BETTER when i can see being made). They mix in a little "modern Pop/rock" (they played a ColdPlay song), and some older RnR songs, but mostly Country music.
After the show i was trying to catch up to this guy...wanted to talk gear with him. It seems every season he has a different amp and guitar. Last season he had a PRS (of some description), and what looked like a Mesa Rectifier; I'm not schooled on all the Mesas out there...but it looked like a Triple Rec. This year he had a Suhr and another Mesa...but this head shell/face plate I didn't recognize. It was stained wood, no tolex. And from where i was i couldn't read anything on the face plate, other than Mesa of course; it was hardwood too. Obviously a "custom" finish on the shell.
Cool looking amp, and killer tone coming from it...in a country music show. Shows just how versatile the gear, particularly the amp, really is.
And...the Mesa guys here will go...yea, No SHIT man...greatest amp eva!
