Speaker Suggestion for 4x12

Looking for some suggestions on a pair of speakers to mix with 2 Vintage 30’s. This is to pair with a Suhr PT100. Tried Redbacks and they seemed take out some of the crunch. Currently have K100’s . This setup sounds excellent but the mids seem a bit hollow. Was thinking the H75’s or maybe even Greenbacks. This is for a heavier style of tone. The amp can get pretty tight some maybe the Greenbacks won’t get too tubby or round in the low end. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I'd say maybe Eminence Man O War speaker. I believe it's their version of the celestion 75s.. or even Eminence CV-75

Hope that helps with some ideas.

I was also gonna suggest looking at WGS speakers. Their support staff are outstanding with helping with recommendations.

Cheers

My Marshall JCM 900 1960A 4x12 cab is currently loaded with a quad of Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. I showed a couple of different configurations of my 4x12 cab that I had in the past. I didn't like the sound of the Celestion G12T-75 speakers so I installed the Celestion G12C-25 speakers on top half of the 4x12 cab which I liked the sound of. I sold the G12C-25 speakers off since I wanted more wattage. I would recommend a pair of Celestion G12-65 speakers for the top half of your 4x12 cab & Vintage 30 speakers on the bottom.

So far my favorite speaker combo is v30's with 75w cream backs but that is in a 2x12 and I prefer the 16ohm ones.
I have some v30 with 70th anniversary in an x pattern some v30 with 25w greenbacks on top I really like that one as well very woody sounding tone.
Then I have some 8ohm evh and some creamback 75 in an x pattern in another.
I have an uberkab as well v30 and gt75 in an x pattern.
A lot of people like that combo ?
I can't stand it. I will be replacing the gt75's with cream back 75w .

I have 412s with v30/Creamback M65, v30/Creamback H75 and v30/Redback. I was a big fan of the v30/H75 combo for a long time. Still love it, but I think the v30/Redback is taking over the top spot. I don't like the v30/Creamback 65 combo all that much. Especially compared to the other cabs and next to my all Greenback cab. I'm gonna change that cab to H75/M65 or all H75s at some point.

How do you have the Redbacks loaded? x pattern , Top or bottom? Thanks !

I have a total of 8 4x12 cabs 4 2x12 cabs and 1 1x12 cab.
They all have different speakers.
I have one of the 4x12 cabs with 50 w lynchbacks.
I would like to try some other speakers to pair with them.
I was thinking either h75 cream backs or 70th anniversary ?
I will say one of my favorite cabs is my original bogner slant cab with v30's.

That there is an addiction. A sweet, sweet addiction. Pics would be nice because we love that stuff.

Without knowing what you're trying to achieve with that cab, and what you already have covered, it's hard to offer advice. I would say that personally I'd balance a brighter speaker with the rounder sounding GL50's, so yeah the Cream H could do it. Not real fond of the anniversaries.

Another cool speaker that is harder to find now (discontinued) is the G12H-30 Heritage 75Hz. The 55Hz is easier to source but I think Celestion missed the mark with that one. The 75Hz was annoyingly superseded by the Cream H but it's a cool option - bright and rich in a more vintage way, if that's your thing.

Here are some but not all
