alright so I have that rubber handle Uber I just got. no the honeymoon phase isn't over, as I absolutely love the amp head. it sounds fucking crushing with my mesa 2x12. with all that said I am using it for a show my band has tomorrow. live I have been using a pair of EVH 4X12's. now, I was using a BlockLetter EVH before trying out the Uber and the 5150 was a bit honky in the mids, and I figured it was just that amp. I used the Bogner earlier at a sound check we had, and it sounded wonky as hell too. I am chalking the tone up to the cabs and or speakers. I'm not sure if I wanna replace the speakers in one of the cabs, or just buy a totally new cab. with all that said, I need some suggestions  .... and yes I know I said it sounded good with the 2x12, but I don't use a 2x12 for live use. I could always get a mesa 4x12, or even throw V30's in an EVH cab, but looking for various opinions as to the speaker swap or maybe even another cab I'm not thinking of.

Sounds best with the Uberkab (x-pattern V30s/T75s). Better than straight V30s. Not surprised it sounds odd with the Greenbacks.

I have not tried that version of the amp, but if it is like the twin jet I tried, I would imagine that it would be a bulldozer with k85's.

This +1. Preferably the front-loaded option.

So with that said, the V30/T75 X-pattern seems like the way to go. I may try a set in my main gigging cab since it is beat to Hell already. I will also look into an Uber cab as well.

I use mine with two 4x12’s loaded with anniversary H30’s.

Mesa Traditional 4x12 with stock speakers sounds awesome with my rev 2.

I actually didn’t care for the T75’s in the Uber cab that I had. I preferred it with all V30’s or my favorite combo was V30’s and Eminence Legends in an X pattern. I also really liked it through a Mesa oversized 4x12 with the Mesa V30’s.

This was with a Rev Blue Uber.

My Rev blue sounds great through G12K-100s and EVH GBs

Agree on front loaded cab. When I had my last Uber, I had a rear loaded UberKab loaded with v30/creamback h75s. I thought it sounded good until I plugged the amp into my Fryette fat bottom with fane speakers and that cab blew away the UberKab. Wasn’t long after the UberKab got sold. Lol
