I know there are folks on this board who have had experience with the Spider Valve.

I played a Spider Valve 1x12" recently and was surprised how much I liked it. For the price it seems like a good amp, but I'm weary of chinese made products. How is the reliability? How long is the warranty?

I've had mine about a month and just played my first show with it this past weekend with no problems. I'll probably use it again this weekend outdoors because of stage size. I think the warranty is for a year.

I had one I liked quite a bit but sold it to fund another amp to feed amp monkey on my back. Anyway I liked it and seemed well built and I didnt have any issues at all.

So what kind of tuneage are you playin' through your SV?

Is that a good way to meet hot chicks?

The other guitar player in my band uses a Spider Valve 112 combo. He had an issue with his FBV floorboard. Apparently the Floorboard is very sensitive to being in the sun. The amp worked fine though and we got the floorboard exchanged.

I don't think the Spider Valve is any less reliable than your typical tube amp + pedalboard rig.

for me the SV's strongest point was real ballsy metal, but others will have different opinions obviously. and yeah the effects and presets aren't too good. but the metal and insane channels kick ass!

I'm just a bedroom wanker, so I don't need anything too high-powered. The SV sounded good at low volumes, good tubey warmth.
