Pedals are being designed better and better for loop use nowadays but they still do not afford users with the same advantages as a cheap but great sounding unit like the Rocktron Intellifex and similar counterparts.
No tone suck, complete analog signal path and the ability to store you own user presets that you can call up on demand and then alter in real time. The Zoom is a tone smasher. There's no such thing as a all in one effects unit unfortunately.
Pedals in front, processor in the rear!
Any time based FX in the loop. Good rule of thumb.
