OK. Thanks for the clarification my friend.

That is the same one I have. The 'classic' 3 button.

1. Clean/Overdrive Switch - LED on indicates Clean Channel is active -- LED off indicates Overdrive Channel is active
2. Overdrive 1/Overdrive 2 Switch - LED on indicates OD2 gain boost -- LED off indicates OD1
3. Solo Boost Switch - LED on indicates Solo Volume Boost control activated

Also not sure how to mod/fix the default situation. There are a few on here that do like @griff10672 or @skullfxr for example. The latter owned a Nitro along w several other Splawns and builds pedals.

Probably get a different model Splawn lol . All jokes aside that`s trippy the Nitro works like that but I`ve never owned one either . I've got the footswitchs for my Competiton and Super Sport unplugged and they stay in the gear mode they've always been in

I hardly ever touch my F/S. It sits on the floor OD/OD2/Solo Boost off. Gear 2 :m17:

Found this on Splawn site. Granted you can't change the TRS connections on the cable itself, but you might be able to reroute the internals to make it do something different. I also believe people have used MIDI to control their Splawns (somehow) so there's that.

I've used a Voodoo Labs Switch Controller in the past to midi control the channels on my Nitro. That was back when I had rack gear with the head.

Now I use my Fractal Fx8 to switch channels since it has 2 built-in relays.

The zero treble and use the presence for the highs is a real thing. I fought mine for years but just couldn’t give up on it. It sounds fantastic now. I’ll grab a pic of my settings. BRB.

I do the same.. presence cranked and Treble down, but I ended up turning the Treble to at least 9 o'clock as it was a bit too muffled for my liking.

Can you explain what that does in your loop? sort of what you hear when its turned ON and

I guess the best way ti explain it is as a very simple eq. It adds a richness and fullness to the amp if that makes any sense. It’s designed for amps that don’t have a presence and resonance feature but it kicks every amp I ever tried it with in the ass and just breaths life into them. They are pretty cheap. Get one and you won’t regret it. Btw I’m horrible at describing tone. lol. Gary Holt uses one. I shared it with him on instagram and now it is rumored to have been built for him.

I have several friends that are touring guitarists that are using them now as well. For around $100 you won’t be disappointed.

Me neither

Curious. Do you normally run your gain that low? Granted I have a QR, but I'm more like 2pm.

Another trick I learned and very subtle is:

Set the Solo knob just above where Volume is.
Crank all the clean channel knobs up, if not using, as there is some bleed over - although not much.
On the nitro ? Yes. The QR? No it’s closer to where you’re at.
