I hear a lot of amp video, and i found the winner for my taste it's diezel Herbert with mid cut engaged and bogner ubershall, but there are is two problems: I order amps at the ukrainian boutique master «Crab» , And there is no schematic for Herbert ,and Uberschall has specific power which is difficult to create.

Can be nitro good alternative to Uberschall /Herbert?

I have dual rec, it's sound good, but i want try something different , but not as radical engl example. How Nitro feels compare to Rectifier ? Can Splawn do slipknot , mudvayne , korn , s.o.a.d and other alternative metal chug ?

If you like the Herbert, you should go with that. Lack of public schematic is normal, and not a problem. I'm not sure what you mean about the power for the Uber.

For what it's worth I have a Nitro, Herbert MkIII, Uber rev blue and Uber ultra. For the styles you mentioned, the Ultra would be my pick.

Get the Herbert. It’s almost underrated at this point . So good and so much more than metal . And the cleans are great
+1 with everything new out on the market these days I feel like the Herb is now a dark horse that flys under the radar a little.

I my fav amps are Hermansons.Wizards , amp the Herbert . It hands
I'm getting an amp locally made here by a builder... from the little tests i've done so far... i believe it's very similar to my mk1 Herb.. i'll have to show some A/B tests once it's built :)

That’s awesome. Does it have a name ?

Sherlock Fathead

That amp has been around for a long time. And you did not have a builder make it and name it that.... it's an Australian amp. I had a chance to get one years ago but I was too busy buying Engl and Rectifiers at the time.

Yep it's been around since the late 90s. A friend of mine bought serial #3 in 97.

Well each one is made to order so yes I did have the builder make it... I never claimed I named it, I was asked what's the name of the amp being made.

Yeah it just seemed like someone said
"I need schematic, I'm having amp built"

Someone said something like "cool, what are you having built. Does it have a name"

And you said sherlock fathed which completely made it seem like, you were saying you were having a custom amp built, by a builder, and you were naming it the sherlock fathed.

All about context and delivery ?

Yeah as others already said earlier, the schematic talk earlier in this thread makes no sense to anyone.

I ignored that and was purely talking about the Sherlock vs the Herbert.

Didn't bother going into detail about it because apart from you and a select few... nobody knows what the hell i'm talking about when it comes to the Fathead.

You'll see I was responding to a comment regarding Wizards, Hermansons and Herbert... IE. small amp builders that aren't 1 off customs.

Anyway not that any of this matters.. I've already posted about the Fathead separately here when i actually got it

I had a friend who ordered an Uberschall clone from him and it was terrible. There are better options. Personally for something like this I would look to Mysaskinov for a preamp, Kartakou has a 5150 based preamp that is dead on, and also Sirius Amplification in Australia(he made a 2 channel preamp that was an Uberschall channel and a Slo channel. His work is immaculate too).

FWIW I had a Quick Rod and a Nitro at the same time. Boosted I preferred the Nitro except the cosmetics I had on the used one was absolutely atrocious. Splawn is about 5 minutes down the road from me in my old home town. Its basically a hot rodded Marshall with a little more low end and a few other tweaks. Splawn is a small builder too who isn't making a fortune. A new amp from the is a little over 2k and they can be found on the used market for only a couple more than Crab would charge. I'm not opposed to clones but I think clones should be done of amps no longer in production or classic amps. Plus if you don't like your amp you aren't going to get your money back if you sell on the used market.
