How does this head compare to amps like the Cameron CCV & Herbert? How does it compare to a Quick Rod?

Think of a high gain Marshall, but with more low mid growl instead of high mid sizzle. Clean channel is nothing special, good, but nothing special. The OD is amazing. OD1 is low-mid gain crunch, full in the mids and crunchy 
OD2 is pure heavy metal goodness. 
OD2 is pure heavy metal goodness.

I don't have a CCV, but I have a Cameron HG Jose & I had a Herbert. All three of these amps are very different sounding. The biggest difference right off is the gain structure. The Nitro has more of that clean gain thing happening, whereas the Jose and the Herbert get very saturated and have tons more available gain.
The Nitro is also a much less compressed amp than the other two. Both the Jose and Herbert have that sound like it sits back a little bit, but the Nitro is more forward sounding. The Jose and Herbert are much easier amps to play too. Both those amps have a feel that make it seem as if you can play anything. The Nitro has a stiffer feel and makes you work for it a bit more. That said it's probably the tightest amp of the three, although all of these amps can be dialed in for some very tight tones.
I found the Nitro to be the least versatile of the bunch. I've dialed in so many different eq settings with my Jose that sound different, but equally good. The same went for the Herbert. When I had my Nitro I found a sweet spot with the eq and found when I strayed from those settings I'd end up always going back to the tried and true settings. The guitarist in my other band has one now and it's kind of the same thing.
Voicing wise the Nitro is more modern sounding than the Jose. So it shares more in common with Herbert in that regard, but they don't sound anything alike. The Nitro has a very prominent low-mid voicing. It's in all the clips I heard of it and I found the clips a very good representation of what the amp sounded like. IMO I found the Nitro to have the most crushing low end of the three. I'm sure some of the Herbert guys will jump on me for that, but the low end punch of that KT77 loaded Nitro I had was insane.
One thing worth noting, is the master volume of the three. I find the Jose to have a great master and the Herbert's isn't too shappy either. You can get good tones & feel at bedroom levels easily from both of those amps. The Nitro I had went from fizzy to make your ears bleed. My other guitarist got his Nitro not too long ago and it has a significantly better master, but it's still just ok. All these amps sound better with volume, but that is very much the case with the Nitro. If you're going to jam in your bedroom with it you'll want to stick an eq in the loop to bring the volume down or get an attenuator.
I'm not familiar with the Quickrod so I couldn't comment on it, but hopefully the rest helped. Those three amps are very different sounding from each other so hopefully that will make it easier to pick.

I had owned the nitro... it feel way short of what I expected, so I bought a diamond Phantom. I do own a diezel herbert, thats in a league of its own, sounds nothing like a splawn. The herbert has a more polished high gain roar, tight, compressed with mid cut in on + side. Still, my favorite amp. However, last night a friend of mine came over with his Quickrod, amazing hot rodded marshall tone, RAW n Powerful, nice chunk and definition to it, I tried diff tubes in the nitro, diff settings, diff pickups ( i own many guitars) I play everything thru basson 4x12s, Quickrod guy said the splawn sounded better thru the bassons than his splawn x pattern bb/sb cab.I could not stand the sterile tone of the nitro, it was loud, low end, not enuff bite.
