Splawn Nitro vs Splawn quick rod for low tuning metal

I saw a Splawn Nitro for sale near where I live recently and it had me watching some YouTube videos on it. Sounded incredible with down tuned metal! Very tight!

I have not played a Nitro, but did own a Quickrod. Would not pick a QR for the tones you are looking for.

I'd also lean more toward the Nitro for that.
The QR could kinda do it with the right guitar, pickups, and pick attack, but it wouldn't be my first choice for that sound.
