I reckon on the next go around they will just work the people for the Canadian way method and freeze the accounts of the non-compliant, whatever it is they will expect people to comply with. I guess on the plus side of this I have become more religious, trust the government even less, and am less and less tied to worldly success, status, money, or anything else. I'm in great shape and well trained in hand to hand (and traditional weapons), but Wars aren't fist fights. And there is no need for them to be "fair" fights either. I'll take all the advantages I can get. I trust Heckler & Koch, among others.

We may not have much more time before true societal breakdown makes it impractical to take on such indulgences.

I've actually been looking at some recent AMGs and M Sport models myself, although in this day and age, you have to be somewhat careful where you drive high profile cars. You can become a target for carjackers at every stoplight or parking lot.

I may move even further out first. I've lost my appetite almost entirely for big cities and their filth. I can watch any sporting event on my home cinema anyway, and the only sport I really care about is motorsport. So I have fewer and fewer reasons to venture into downtown Blue Shit Holes.

I'm pretty far out and only have to travel up to the far southern edge of the suburbs to get to my yard. From there I'm rolling in a Freightliner.

As far as stealing a Mercedes, they'll destroy it before they can steal it. It's almost foolproof. There's a few basic rules I have ingrained which significantly increase my odds of not being a carjacking victim, though there's always a chance.

I don't mind city living, it's convenient...until it's not, and you're at the mercy of utility costs. I like people but get tired of seeing them 24/7 when living in a city. When I was in St. Petersburg I found myself having daily stress headaches until I left town....

My house is small, my utilities are low and I cut wood for heat in the winter and shoot deer for cheap meat. If I relocated it'd be somewhere between 20-120 acres on a nice creek and the house would be a one room shack that I used camo netting to hide during and after the build process. I don't really have an interest in bunkers. I'm considering eventually moving out of the country if only for part of the year to begin with once my parents pass away.

I bought a city house in FL cause I couldn't afford land in Texas. I flipped it three years later and afforded land in Texas and built the house. That St. Pete house has almost kept pace with what I own here, price wise. Could've sat on my dead ass instead but it was on 5th avenue and that street was like a race track all day and night.

The real deciding factor for me is when we had gunshots in the neighborhood (a nice neighborhood) one night and there was a police chopper lighting up my back yard. I cleared it myself cause I wasn't going to have cops back there on principle but in the meantime the family was hid out in the back bedroom with their heads down. To be honest we've had a couple similar incidents out here but I have dogs now and I have several additional tactical advantages built into the place.

I've never had problems with the homeless or others in downtown Austin. I befriended several of the more level headed ones. Five-ten bucks builds a ton of loyalty vs the usual morons you meet down there. No one ever messed with me or my rig save one night when my bro was new in town some drunk walked by and grabbed his beard. Since that's an assault before I knew what happened I had shoved the guy to the ground with a vengeance and was ready to pounce on him and hand out a beating but his girlfriend was so horrified and upset I knew she would deal out more damage than I could come morning so I let him go.
