I tend to focus on achieving MY goals, rather than worry about the opinions of "Staunch defenders of certain Brands..." projecting theirs.
I say, "potato". They say, "modeler". Makes no difference to me. I trust my own ears.
Besides, Everyone has opinions, even total idiots have opinions, but that doesn't mean they're good ones, so when seeking out opinions, it's a good idea to 1st qualify the person who's advice you are considering.
