Steavens Poundcake

A Poundcake is one of those amps I´ve always had a soft spot for, but never pulled the trigger on. Tried one way back when, and loved the tones.

I have one too. Its a crazy versatile amp and the Lead Sound has this creamy mids, which is great for soloing. BUT its not a modern amp with much low frequencies. Its somehow in a marshall ballpark. But from Clean to Mean you have great versatility with all the Boost and Midfrequency Switches.

Yes I agree with that. Mine is a 6L6 version, and maybe it is more comfortable on the modern stuffs than the EL34 version. But it is very "mashally"
indeed, close to a soldano kind of voicing IMO

Great sounding amp, even with it being an iPhone clip!

Absolute MONSTER of an amp!!!
I wish I'd kept mine, these are one of the most underrated amps in the world...
Bernard Steavens is a sweetheart of a man and builds beautiful machines!!

Your Bogner Shiva seems too be very tasty too  Or maybe it is a Splawn, plexi-like ? The design looks like a shiva.

Too bad you sold it. And I totally agree, they are obviously underrated.
I never met Bernard Steavens but he seems to be a nice fella, as everybody says.

Nice :) That's a CE-22 right? Sounds great!
Thanks dude ! And yes, that's a CE 22. I love that guitar, even if I'm solding it. Guitars are just like women : past a few years, you wanna change for another :D
I see you have a PRS too. What model ?

Nice amps.
I have a brick preamp, 4 channels. Very marshally ....

Man I'd love to try one of these. I heard that the radioactivator is awesome too.
