MURDERATOR
couple questions so bear with me please.....two fender twins....can you go overdrive---->aby switcher--->to inputs of both amps? or do you need to boost separately? Also-how would you do effects? stereo chorus and digital delay...for starts....trying to work this out in my head and failing miserably.

Straight ass pedalboard. Make sure your last FX is stereo - in this case your digital delay. Run each out to each amp running clean. Deadly.

thanks homie...what about the boosts? any idea?

Mentioned this in another thread....found an old dude with 2 fender black knob evil twins and two tonemaster 4x12's with k-100's. Really thinking about grabbing them. My first real amp was a red knob super 60....feeling nostalgic in my old age...lol...

I have never posted a clip or vid....but if I get this rig I swear I will tune to drop c and boost the shit with an boss heavy metal pedal and play wolverine blues cranked.....bet.....through fender twins...in stereo...lol...because fuck it...that's why...

Whatever boosts/distortions u like. Kinda depends on how hot u run the Twins. I usually need a clean tone so I run um clean and get my gain from pedals - there are so many good ones these days. I’m a fan of Suhr Riot, Revv G4, Triple Wreck. Lots of good ones plus the old stand by’s. I have an HM2 also and it just kills.

I was mainly curious about the boost. I have a killer overdrive now thanks to griff10672(?), just need a nasty distortion to really bring the heavies. If I get them I'll probably go WDW with my tverb in the middle. as well as just running the fenders in stereo sometimes. I just think it would kill.

I just got done setting this up for me (not the Twins part :D).
There are better ABY pedals out there but I went with the MXR one.
It also has a pass-through jack for tuner or 3rd amp (3rd amp would be on all the time, so you have to control that one with volume knob)
For WDW your effects pedals will need stereo outs and will add complexity.
I use 1 OD pedal for both. I run FX into one amp so W/D/D technically.
You will also need to control ground loops/hum - can be frustrating.
Get a TC Mimiq man...super fun.
Here is my shitty demo of Drop C knar knar

I can only comment on my own, but I like an ab/y with ground lift, polarity switch (maybe not necessary with two amps with same) and an isolated second out.

This is before it goes into my mimiq. The mimiq then feeds both amps inputs.

I do FX either in the loop, or via lineouts from the amp to stereo in/out FX. That way you can set different but complimentary delay/modulation rates on each side.

I would really like to get the big swirly chorus or vibe effects in stereo as well...not sure if I'm making any sense or not. It's been years since I have fucked with a dual amp set up...thus the questions...lol...

Here is some Drop C swirlys but not in stereo. It only sounds like stereo because of the Zoom Q24K. I mean, it is recorded in stereo "in room" but the chorus is not going through both amps. This was more of a dual amp test. My suggestion is to get the ABY part figured out first and make sure you don't have any ground/noise/phase issues and then introduce your effects.
