Is there a solution? Probably not. I've got guys I work with. Grown men who take their kids to Bieber and Gaga concerts. They come to work the next day and instead of saying "man that sucked, I did it for the kids", they say things like "it was an awesome show, wow she's really good".
Therein lies the problem. It's NOT good. It's shit. But as long as that's what people settle for, that's what they'll get.

I don’t think you can compare Beiber to Gaga… Gaga is a huge talent and puts on an amazing show. She’s a great songwriter and can sing well.
I took my wife to a Taylor Swift concert and that was an awesome show too. These people entertain…. Period.
I appreciate good pop song writing but I also appreciate Dream Theater, Vai, Satch, etc.
Different strokes…
The music business is just like any other businesss… sink or swim. Don’t like it, then move on.

And the funny thing is, they don't give a shit what you think about their shitty music. They'll listen to it anyway. I'll get In the car with my lady and she'll have the radio on some godawful station that plays the latest Chris Brown/Drake/Mackelmore/Katy Perry crap, and I'll complain about it. She changes the station to a classic rock station and we'll both rock out to Bad Company or something. But the very next time I get back in the car it's right back on that awful Top 40 station again.
Saw him play last year and I still have a smile on my face just thinking about it. I'd KILL to have that sort of "irrelevance".Viesczy":2qo3zgtt said:Steve is just old and irrelevant and he can't stand it.
FWIW he hasn't been relevant for 25 years.
