Steve Stevens rig 2010 by Rack Systems

what speakers where in the cabs? Does he mix the OD100 with the Marsha for more lows with hi mids? Or use them individually?

Hey Dave,

It looks like your using Lyric to go into the front of the amps and take the wet signal to the h/h power amps but not down to the volume/whammy board is there a reason and what cable are you using for the pedalboard run?

Also there doesn't seem to be a IA switch for the Boss Noise Supp is that in the chain at all times?

Beautiful work as always, this and the Cantrell rig have to be my favorites!

John

Well the cable in the snake is mogami and yes the other is Evidence. The Evidence was his request a while back. Why the snake is not done is a good ? just never did it I guess. The noise suppresser is in the loop with the Fat boost and eq to cut the noise of the boost.

If you don't mind me asking what mogami cable is it? Is it regular single conductor (2319 or 2524) or are you using balanced cable and is it wired semi-symetrical?

Thanks
John

I hope my other guitar player doesnt see this rig, he'll want it then he'll be set up and ready by the 3rd set instead of the 2nd one now! lol

Billy and Steve in Moscow, the new setup sounding and looking killer.
Pete Thorn asked why Steve kept the cabs in the bottom part of the flight cases and I replied on HRI forum that the insulation from the flight case helps isolate the cabs from the stage floor and as all three are miked, it gives a uniform tone, independent of the stage floor material or thickness, ect. He agreed saying when he had 3 4X12" cabs he would have an unwanted howl from sympathetic vibration between cabs.

Steve Stevens has always been a badass. I remember seeing the "Rebel Yell" video when I was in middle school and thought it was awesome that a "pop" artist had a metal guitarist. The fact that he plays Marshas just makes me respect his tone-chasing even more.

I saw Billy Idol with Steve Stevens show this Tuesday and Steve's sound was completely awesome. Great player with great rig

vintage 30's and no he uses one amp at a time.
I thought he had Scumback speakers?
He has them at his home studio in a 2x12, but they weren't the right tone for the Idol gig, so he stuck with his 20 year old V30's. Apparently the new 69 spec cabs he got from me made the V30's sound much better, though. There's another post I made with his comments along with a picture from the 1st show in Moscow. Do a search and you'll find it. Hell, it might be in this thread for all I know. I'm too busy to look!

I saw Billy/Steve last night in Prague, the Czech Republic - great show!!! Steve sounded great! Don´t miss their show!

Thats a killer rig, you do awesome work!

So no Axe FX in there anywhere? I was under the impression that he was using one of those now...

Dave in the below picture where do you get the 1/4" mono plug that goes into the TT Board for wah, exp, in and out? Can you supply a part number for these? I like this better than the Neutrik option as that was going to make me have to cut the holes larger in the TT Board, and this looks like direct fit.

Thanks for any input.
