If You feel so, the C40 mod is definitely the one to do. After removing the cap the amp starts to breath. C40 cap to my ears removes too much highs and "squishes" the poweramp's tone. I really regret that I haven't started modding my amp with removal of that cap. After I removed C40 the tone became more present, the dynamics of poweramp was increased. Also it removed sizable amount of "blanket effect". This mod, alongside with changing dirty Treble pot to linear, would be enough to "fine-tune" that amp without losing Bogner flavour and chewiness.
