My BE-100 just developed a strange consistent clicky pulse sound today out of the blue it seems to be consistent (25-30 seconds apart) and only starts happening a few minutes after flipping the standby switch off.

I made a short clip of it below , if anybody can give me an idea of what it might be I'd appreciate it.

By the way the effects are on and in the loop in the vid but I removed them and cut the loop off afterward and it made no difference.

Well I went through the tubes today swapping them out and using Deoxit on the pins and sockets and made no difference, theres no arcing or red plating in the tubes either.
The popping doesn't start until a few minutes after standby is turned off and amp is in play mode so I don't think its a noisy AC problem and it does it in both channels so.... I cant think of anything else to do on my end .

Anybody got an idea of what else I might check before shipping this head off to Dave.

Any fluorescent lighting near bye? Or other electrical interferences?

Well, There are CFL bulbs in the Ceiling fans here, they have the GU24 base and that's the only kind of bulb they will take , I kind of discounted this though since they never seemed to bother the amp before.

I figured if there were some electrical interference that it would effect the amp right away and not 3-5 minutes after its been on but I'm no authority of course.

So it doe this with nothing plugged into the amp at all? Does it do it. On the clean?

Yeah it did it with or without the guitar plugged in and also on the clean. I say "Did" because it has stopped as of last night , all I did was go back through the power tubes and the speaker plug and sprayed them and the sockets with some more Deoxit and reinserted them a few times , after that no more popping at all.

I tried it again this morning and its still working fine so I hope whatever I might have done has solved the problem, Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the Response by the way. I appreciate your willingness to help people in this forum.

Try changing tubes. The craziest noises I've ever hear and usually different every amp and tube, have all came from bad tubes in my experience. Even on a second set of new ones. But definitely listen to what Dave has to say on this.

So you went through the tubes cleaning them and swapping them out.... Does that mean you changed all the tubes, including power tubes? If not try changing them (preamp first) just one at a time man. You'll never know until you change all power tubes and rebias. But take too a tech if you can't bias yourself.

Yeah I first swapped out the Preamp tubes one by one cleaning each of the sockets and pins at a time and It made no difference then I went through and removed the original tubes cleaned the pins and sockets with deoxit and reinserted them a few times and the Clicking quit, I've played it a few more times since then and its playing fine now.

More than likely its as you say a tube issue , if it starts again I'll get a new set and have them installed/biased.
