String gauge for B standard tuning for LP

Playing a few songs in baritone tuning (think FFDP Bad Company) without a baritone guitar so I took one of my Les Pauls and strung it up with DDT strings gauge 13 17 22 42 56 65

Is there something better than this because I played it for the first time last night and didnt work out to well...alright for rhythm but sucked for lead...G string (3rd) especially sucked...really boinky.

Oh yeah the tone didnt cut through very well either...have Aldrich PUs in that guitar...think Ill throw in a Distortion instead for that tuning...

I got away with 12-56 on my charvel in b-standard, but a les paul can be tricky.. I use a custom 11-56 in drop-b on my les pauls now. And a sh-6 is better for lower tunings in my case..

And never could get used to a wound g.. Just felt wrong on solos or slidin on octaves and such.
