Wow, another asshole.

Ok my first and only other reply said its probably your neck. So it actually has everything to do with my text. However you chose to only quote half.

Id put money that this guys buzzing is from him dropping his tuning, which seems like what this thread is about. Fixing his buzz.

Im not sure how old you are and how long you've been playing but i highly recommend smaller strings.

You really sound like a big douchebag. I played 12's for years in drop C because I was advised its the right tension.

I now play 11's considering 10's in drop c because its better on my hands.

Ive already got signs of carpel tunnel and would like to be able to play in 20 years instead of saying damn those. 70's were great for tension but now my hand doesn't work. Smh

Oh, and you sound like the douche, man. Sorry to break it to you.

And don't give me that carpel tunnel shit. Do you stretches, warm-ups and exercises, andyou'll be fine, unless you're already prone to it. This "heavy strings gives me carpel tunnel" crap is ridiculous. How come more bass and baritone-guitar players aren't crippled after a few years of playing?

Well, I wasnt really giving YOU anything, way to hop on the band wagon follower.

Go fuck yourself, buddy  Don't like being called out for acting like a shithead on a public forum, then don't act like a shithead.

Your still a hypocrite and a follower chi guy.

I never said heavy strings gave me carpel tunnel get your facts right.

Sounds like your mad for getting called out on being a bandwagon follower.

Ok sure, since you love to argue. I will continue name calling by calling you a hypocrite. You say my personal preferences do not equate to everyone elses but follow with 20lbs of tension is asking for trouble? hmm

edit:you mad bro? hypocrite

Only idiots and retards would get mad on the internet; or decide to argue over the internet for that matter. I referenced the 20lb's of tension being a problem for YOU, since obviously you have done nothing but complain while also using your experience over factual information. Take a break from the keyboard and learn reading comprehension.

Did you even read the thread moron? You replying shows your getting mad too..Hypocrite again...

I posted a reply to help the op, hey check your neck for buzz issues. I then get ridiculed by a "pro tech" not a pro player and then a few flamers decided to jump in.

Im here to help people if I can and learn thats it. But I will always defend myself. On a keyboard, in the streets wherever. Same exact thing YOU are doing right now, arguing we both are that is what this is called if you didnt know so you just confirmed yourself that you are an idiot. Nice job.

I understand sometimes people just can not see the real truth onlyh fabrications thats why I really dont care about all of this but I am still going to voice my opinion instead of letting shitbags like you slander my name falsely.

I will admit when I am wrong, and I know I can be an asshole at least I can be honest withmyself unlike you.

I will spell this for you clearly ok. This ^^^^ Your post that I just quoted is an argument.

So just accept that you are an idiot and a retard. If you can not. Then your lying to yourself.

I myself am an idiot and a retard, but something tells me I am more of a man than you.

I personally think that .64 way too thick for any tuning. I dont know much about tension but still thats a string for a bass guitar.

Hey nice fail yet again......I said I have signs of carpel tunnel. I did not say I got those signs from only playing guitar did I?

You should really just stop because your always going to think your right but in reality be wrong.

For your entertainment I work on a computer all day at work, then I play my ever so nice feeling LIGHT strings and come on here and argue with idiots. That is why I have signs of carpel tunnel. I mainly blame the work I do all day on the computer. Or was it the constant masturbation?? Damn idk

There is no back pedaling buddy. I did not say I have signs of carpel tunnel from playing heavy guage strings. And your quotes that you tried to use did not say that either. Are you seriously delusionall?

Yup, I'm the bandwagon follower, that's for sure. I've released 4 original records, toured on them, had two top-40 active rock singles (all of this before I was 28) with a style of music that rarely gets air-time in the US, in a climate that sucks for modern hard rock. I play a type and style of instrument that most don't, use unconventional tunings and string gauges.... I don't lock myself into stock options on instruments like so many seem to. The "I must stick the the same brand/type/gauge of strings that came on the instrument cause nothing else will work" mentality just doesn't have a place in my life.

So, wait, who's the follower?

Lol wow your super cool dropping all of your cock rock credits. Id love to hear the bandwagon cheesiness of your top 40 hits. How do you know what brand I use btw?

If I recall my Ibby is recommended to use 9's which I don't use.

1. Yea, I am, sorry, but that's the truth. Someone please tell me why it's wrong to state your accomplishments and have some pride in them? And I like my anonymity, so I won't be posting anything. That, and the fact that there's nothing I need to prove to you, so you can go along with your assumptions, that's cool. ;) Also, I don't play cock rock. The 80's died a long-ass time ago.

2. I don't know, and I don't care, either. It was an example. You see, on the internet, since there's no body language and other conveyances of information, it's hard to covey implied meaning. It's also hard to understand implied meaning in short posts on a forum. Basically, I was using the string thing as a topical example of the typical closed-mindedness that so many bedroom musicians display.

Your ignorant and flat-out combative views, on this subject and others, show that you're not a willing participant in beneficial conversation.

And your idea of the weather having something to do with how successful a music genre can be is brilliant.

Defense is combative of course. If there's nothing to prove why post your cock rock credits?

I truly hope inside that your the guy from disturbed lol.

You're a flat-out idiot, man, and I have an immense amount of sympathy for you and the people who must interact with you daily. You've never heard the word "climate" used when pertaining to an industry? Or the phrase "political climate," for example? Shit, man, go read a fucking book.

No, I haven't.

We didn't have books where I grew up.

There's many bands highly successful from New England, probably much more brutal climate than Chicago and yes I've been to both several times.

What about all the amazing Norwegian musicians that would take you to school?
You wouldn't know about that playing Nickelback tho would you?

Yet here you are claiming your not a hypocrite, saying I am combative after defending attacks from you, the cock rock king.

Hey Abe Froman go screw yourself

They would school me, but that's not the style of music I play, so I'm ok with that. When I say it's a shitty climate in the music industry, I mean NATIONALLY, not just in Chicago.

Also, while I do enjoy a couple of Nickelback records, I don't play that style of music, either. I'm also aware enough of how people work that I know if I did post something, I wouldn't matter how good or bad it was, you'd rip it apart and shit-talk it just to feel/look like the one with the upper hand. Truth is, I know what I've done with my career, I know the experience that I have, and I also know that it's more than most have done. If I'm proud of that and fall back on it as reference and to show that hey, I may not know everything, but I know a hell of a lot, then so be it.

Anywho, I'm bored. Off to go see In Flames.

Oh, one last thing: maddnotez, here's a little lesson for you:

Definition of "Climate."

Sometimes, words have more than one meaning. Crazy, right?!

I appreciate your concern, but I don't take lessons from modern rock guys.

Not sure if I really want to get involved in this... But why not

I've not had a whole lot of luck tuning that low on 25.5" guitars(except for 1 or 2) so I generally use 27" for it. I tune 1 1/2 steps down on my 7 string guitars and use a set of 10-52's plus a 68 7th. That's just what I like.

Karl Sanders of Nile uses something like a 10-70 set in drop A on 24.75" up to 27" guitars.(6 string)

This pretty much sums it up though...

Once again, whatever works for the individual.

My suggestion would be to just keep trying different gauges until you find what works best for you.

My personal feeling on everything music related is "there are no rules"...

No im just playin I did read the link and understand I misinterpreted your version of climate.

However, I still think modern rock is a bunch of talentless bandwagon whores if you wish to continue :)
