I need to score some new monitors and want to get some input on what to look at.

Yeah dude I learned my lesson. Using the Maudio's now and I am not happy at all. Granted my room needs treatment also, but I can't do that until I am in the house I plan on living in pretty much permanently. I think I am gonna give those KRK V8 series a try.crwnedblasphemy":14rl9zh3 said:Stay away from Alesis or Maudio stuff....I use KRK V8 series and love them....JBL's are excellent too!
Yup...Research what the trusted reviewers are saying, be careful of the magazine payed-off fluff reviews.crwnedblasphemy":c4tx9pyr said:Stay away from Alesis or Maudio stuff....I use KRK V8 series and love them....JBL's are excellent too!

But the V8s are no longer produced, are they? What's the equivalent current model?
