Ya, It’s happening everywhere, dude.

Black crimes reported as ‘white supremacist crimes’.

Main stream media, bought and paid for,
follows the narrative, total lies, and corruption.

Ex marine who sprung into action by neutralizing an aggressive head case.

You don't keep a choke hold on someone for minutes.
You feel them go limp/unconscious and then you break the fucking hold.

Yeah. He’s a murderer. Nobody has the right to choke someone out until they die.
Murder is a specific crime that is not simply homicide;

It requires malicious intent and, for first degree in most states in the USA, something like “malice aforethought,”

neither of which i think are clearly demonstrated by what we’ve seen so far in this case

For what it’s worth, all the coverage from legitimate news organizations that i’ve seen has been far from judgmental of the Marine

It’s pretty clear from surrounding context that the deceased had a history of impulsive and aggressive behavior including assault,
and I haven’t seen any serious commentator rule out the possibility (one may say likelihood) that the Marine acted in self or common defense

One thing this case does demonstrate,
is what i think is an undesirable effect of MMA mainstreaming the idea of choke holds — when used incorrectly as restraints and / or by those not specifically trained in using them for neutralization, they can and often do result in unintended permanent damage or death

Did Mr. Jarhead wake up that morning wake up and say “hey, think I’ll kill a that guy on the subway today”?
I doubt it.

But he decided he wasn’t going to let go once the person he had in a chokehold went limp. There’s your intent. He’s a vigilante. And if it’s ok for him to be a vigilante, it’s ok for someone to go vigilante on his ass down the road.

hes a hero in my book. better off he goes down then he takes down a dozen others

spoke a Def. Attny last night at the cigar bar.
told me hes getting at least a manslaughter charge

said something about the law where once the threat is diminished you have to reduce your force accordingly

you clearly have never been down a NYC subway lately. have we.
its a totaly fucking zoo down there these days to due my liberal Dem runned city.

very scary to be in a subway car or waiting on a platform. reminds me a lot like the 1970s

get a few 100 of these guys busting heads and they would be no crime

He didn’t.

^^ this right here.

I’d be pretty surprised if they charged him with murder, considering (among other things) it is dubious that he had any training on restraints

Manslaughter or a lesser homicide charge on the other hand, very arguably, depending on what the rest of the evidence shows

I really doubt that reasoning would hold up in court. If the prosecution uses that reasoning, i’ll buy you an apple juice

hes a hero in my book.

He was a hero right up to the point the guy was unconscious.
The manslaughter came from not letting go.

Ever been choked out? It fucking sucks but you go all black really fast.
Those MMA holds aren't so much about cutting off air to the lungs, it's stopping blood from getting to the brain.

Choke a person with both hands around their windpipe and it could take minutes to kill them.
Solid choke hold on the carotid artery? You'd be lucky to last 10-15 seconds.

Either way, you're pretty limp and harmless once your brain goes black.
Dude HAD to let go at that point.

Side note Re: the hold in question :

It’s been pointed out (including on this board i think) that the hold was incorrectly / poorly executed, just from a photo it is pretty clear to me that it very likely would not have been as quickly effective as a proper choke hold
