I am not sure exactly the sound you are looking for, but the Alnico Golds do rock. I think a Weber Blue dog with a ceramic magnet would be cool too.

I have a Weber G1265 that I am going to be selling. Nice speaker, pretty dark though. I kind of wished it had more highs and its not a good match for my fender amp....
The Celestion H65 is pretty smooth on the treble response, but not really dark. The Gold interests me, but wow are they expensive!

The Weber G1265 is darker than Classic Lead 80's, Vintage 30's, G12H30's, and G12T-75's to my ears. That is why I said it was pretty dark. It has the least highs of any speaker I have used. It also has the biggest warmest midrange as well.

I really like the Weber G1265 with my Marshall 2553, but I am using a different cab with CL80's with my marshall. The Weber G1265 sounded great with my bandmate's Line 6 Spider valve 112 combo too, but he preferred the V30 cab. I didn't agree, but oh well...

I concur with the Alnico Gold. If the cabinet was larger or reconfigured and had the room for 2 speakers I would like to hear that through 2 greenbacks also. I do realize you only have room for 1 12inch speaker with the current Eini Combo set-up.

The H65 is darker than all those you listed as well (except the V30, those are very dark to me).

I had Weber recone a pair of my old Celestion 20 watt speakers....those are the only Weber's I've heard so far.
