Hi all,

I'm looking for a 19" midi-controllable effect-processor in combination with a VH4. Up to now, I used a BOSS GT10, but I have always the feeling, that the VH4 sound is destroyed in its clearness even when using just a delay. The cables for connection of send and return are both short (about 50cm).

Depends a lot on your needs and budget + do you accept used units.

From my personal experience all of these are good in guitar use: Eventide Eclipse, Lexicon MPX G2, TC G-force and TC G-major 1&2. TC G-system I did not like, but many have good experiences with that as well.

Eclipse is a bit tricky due to its lag in preset changes and endless tweaking, but on the other hand I think there is not a parameter in that unit one cannot control in real-time through MIDI - Almost endless possibilities. Lexicon is crap to program until you "speak Lexicon" as delays are set only in milliseconds not BPM and reverbs are set in some sort of dimension or distance, but the sound is great. TC stuff in general is good and reasonably priced, but in comparison to e.g. Eventide can be a bit limited - Sounds good though.

I would say that check what you really need and that should be the starting point. Then think what you want or what would be "a nice to have" and check your bank account.
