Suggestions on Floyd Guitar with bigger neck

I've had so many Floyd guitar but I hate thin necks. I just made a trade for a new Charvel and it's up for sale now simply because I just don't like the neck. I've thought about putting a different neck on it but figured I'd toss this out just to see if any one can come up with a few suggestions. I'm not looking for a 58 Les Paul neck (although that would be awesome) just a good sized neck. Thanks for any help.
 
jackson FB2 has a huge neck and a floyd. Most jacksons I have play have had biggish necks compared to the charvels
 
Oh Man, you have to try the Peavey or the EVH peavey wolfgang neck. It's A Symmetrical and just feels great. Not too big and not too little. Too little is something I also don't like, but I'm like you and don't like too big also. I'm an average size guy ( 6' / 215lbs ) with average hands, but some of the Ibanez necks for instance on my S series from Japan are too thin, but I love the Edge bridge, and how light it is,, so I put up with it for some stuff. I personally think the Wolfgang and that neck shape is about the best you can get as a compromise, but that's just my two pence so to speak. ! Good luck!
 
USA Charvel necks are perfect (to me), I think they are thicker than the Japanese or Mexican Charvel necks. Maybe get a used SoCal?

My '85 Soloist has a really thick baseball bat feeling neck - not sure if all newer Soloists are that thick.
 
Check out the guitars from Grover Jackson "GJ2". Superstrats with the biggest 1 11/16 necks I've come across. Definately approaching LP territory.
 
Jackson PC1 all the way - for the type of guitar, that's the biggest I've played. I believe it was based off one of Phil's Gibsons, but I forget which year..
 
Speaking of Washburn, their mid-90's Mercury (MG) series that Grover Jackson designed had a fairly thick neck for a superstrat (if memory serves). They're great guitars (my first electric was a MG-44), can be had for a song on ebay and the USA models are supposed to be amazing.

Unfortunately, a lot of them have Gold Floyds :(
 
Gibson shred les paul studio has a Floyd as well as their thicker 50's neck profile
 
I believe Carvin now offers a thicker neck option. They also use German Floyds.
 
Interesting as that is why I like my Charvel So-Cal. It is much thicker/rounder than most.

I also agree with the Wolfgang suggestion, as well as EBMM Axis and other similar guitars.

What about one of those Dean ML guitars with a Floyd?
 
I have three of the guitars mentioned in this thread.
Jackson PC1 = Biggest neck but very comfortable. My #1 right now due to the versatility.
Peavey Wolfgangs = Most comfy neck EVER!!! Asymetrical profile = meaty in the right places. sits perfect in the hand.
Washburn N4. Mine is a Davies model and the neck has a soft V profile and 12" radius. It doesn't feel very big in the hand due to the lack of shoulder, but the soft V is comfortable.

I actually built a warmoth with a Wolfgang profile neck and strat body to meld the Wolfgang and PC1. This is my #2 and the neck is big!!!
 
If you can find a used Tom Anderson or Suhr with the 60s profile neck, I would suggest that. Those are going to be a little pricier than some of the other suggestions. I like the profile of the Wolfgang, EB Axis, etc. necks, but the smaller frets and narrow nut kind of ruin it for me.
 
if you like everything else on the guitars why not just buy a Musikraft neck built to your specs?

I did just that as I love fat necks...I have 8 or 9 of them, with different fatter profiles, some C, son D some V to C etc. I like the look of old Charvel and Jackson strats but most have fairly thinner necks than I like
 
Pricy option but you can get the new PRS Custom 24 with the Pattern Neck, that will get you close to the Gibson chunky neck

Floyd Cu 24 only comes with pattern thin. It's not Ibanez Wizard thin but certainly not chunky by any means.
