Put in Aldrich in a Anderson Mahogany body and man does it have such a BALANCE tone wise.
Have no desire to even check out another pickup. Such a Growl and Bite and they have a voice where seems my EMG's were just in SMASH mode all the time.

Have you ever tried a Tremonti Treble or SC250 bridge pick-up? I wonder how the Aldrich compares. I like the pick-up in my PRS, but it's a little dark and lacks the snarl I'd like to hear. I want something with a little more growl and bite as you have described and have been thinking about the Aldrich, but I'm not sure if it is all that different than what the Tremonti is (and maybe my guitar is just on the darker side). I know the BK painkiller sounds killer as I have one in my other SC. I just want to find something different for this guitar.
I had a set of Aldrich's in a McCarty and I liked them a lot, but I like the Tremonti I have in the bridge better, its a little more open sounding, and has a touch more detail in the mids. It has a little more edge to it ;)
I liked it enough to put one in my Eagle also, its a fantastic pickup

I wasn't impressed with the Aldrich considering all the hype it gets. It sounded decent, but it was a little too compressed to me. In the same Les Paul I've had a Bustbucker Pro, an SD '59, an SD Custom Alnico 5, Surh Aldrich, and a BKP Nailbomb. The Nailbomb was definitely the best. It has just the right level of aggression, is more open and clear sounding, but alsoless forgiving. The Aldrich just barely edges out the SD-14 for second best in that guitar. I like it, but it's not as clear or open as the Nailbomb.

Yeah, compressed isn't how I would describe the aldrich. Quite the opposite for a high output pickup.

Compared to the Nailbomb the Suhr definitely sounds too compressed for my tastes.

I am also interested in the Suhr Aldrich bridge. I was wondering what the difference between the Aldrich and the DSH+ since I have a DSH+ in my RG 3120. The DSH+ sounds really good in this guitar with high gain metal and clean, but who plays clean.

Loved the pickups when I installed them in a G0 Les Paul, wasn't a big fan of it in my previous basswood Suhr Standard.

I used to have G.A.S. for pickups and would try this and try that and never be satisfied. Years ago I had a Suhr Aldrich put in my Les Paul and haven't looked back. Just a great sounding pickup for everything.

if you want articulation , there really isn't a better pickup out there. I've tried everything .... literally

Heres one of my LP's with an Aldrich set in it straight in with a little delay in my M60...quite crunchy.

That's one of the things I love about the Aldrich. I have a set in my LP standard and a bridge aldrich in my LP custom. I don't get as heavy as most on here too, so its not just a metal pickup. Splits very well too...

Killer vid, War Admiral. Sounded fantastic. I'm definitely interested in this pickup, though a lot of people seem to be using them in their Pauls. Wonder how it would fare in a 24 fret PRS.
