I had a set of Aldrich's in a McCarty and I liked them a lot, but I like the Tremonti I have in the bridge better, its a little more open sounding, and has a touch more detail in the mids. It has a little more edge to itmhenson42":1zxim06q said:Mailman1971":1zxim06q said:Put in Aldrich in a Anderson Mahogany body and man does it have such a BALANCE tone wise.
Have no desire to even check out another pickup. Such a Growl and Bite and they have a voice where seems my EMG's were just in SMASH mode all the time.![]()

Have you ever tried a Tremonti Treble or SC250 bridge pick-up? I wonder how the Aldrich compares. I like the pick-up in my PRS, but it's a little dark and lacks the snarl I'd like to hear. I want something with a little more growl and bite as you have described and have been thinking about the Aldrich, but I'm not sure if it is all that different than what the Tremonti is (and maybe my guitar is just on the darker side). I know the BK painkiller sounds killer as I have one in my other SC. I just want to find something different for this guitar.

I liked it enough to put one in my Eagle also, its a fantastic pickup
