Looks like Suhr is shipping the Hedgehog. Sounds great IMHO...very Dumble. Gotta have one of these. :)

Can't wait for the Hedgehog Reloaded...Ron Jeremy signature model!

Seems like their aiming for the Dumbl....I mean, EHX Soul Food crowd...lol

Suhr is quality, so I have no doubt it will be awesome. Their clips always sound great.

There's something unimpressive about look and sound of the Hedgehog. I can't quite pinpoint what it is yet, but it's rather underwhelming thus far. The Hedgehog was actually something I was looking forward to, but the way it has been marketed makes it seem rather pretentious. So far, I've only seen a tele player and fusion guys playing the amp, and to be quite honest, most of those guys sound all the same to me (just the way I perceive it so don't get your panties in a wad). With a price tag of basically $3,000, my curiosity isn't aroused.

It's definitely not another high gainer for the riff regurgitating amp listeners.

Well I'm not one of those guys, but it sounds kind of mellowed out and smooth.

I love Suhr gear, but I wasn't blown away by the tones in this clip...but that may be just me, and the price is a little shocking.
My favorite Suhr amp is the Badger 35 - It's a killer touch sensitive tone machine.

Suhr tele is cool as hell but this amp aint for me, would rather see some pt100's out there

50% woodier tone? Really does have some hair to it...

I've got nothing against that boutiquey tone, but it just isn't for me.

There's nothing in that clip that can't be achieved with a nice Twin and a high end gain pedal.

I guess it's geared towards that, how do you say, "tan-pants" crowd?

A lot of the Suhr clips sound great but this amp sounds a little dare I say generic. I'll wait for a for more clips before passing judgement. I thought the Jim Kelley amp clips sounded awesome.

LMAO I don't know why but the Tan pants crowds is an extremely funny description.

I own a Hedgehog, and to be fair, I was initially blown away by the clean tones, but underwhelmed with the gain. That being said, when I finally had the opportunity to play it with my whole band, it shined. I find that the older I get, and the better I play, it actually sounds better to my ear playing with less gain. I was guilty of playing with tons of gain back in the day, but whether it was, AC/DC, or Stevie Ray, the tones they were getting had nothing to do with over saturating you sound with gain. Not that there aren't some spectacular sound high gain tones, but for me playing live it feels like my playing, and notes are much more defined within the mix of a band setting with an amp like my Hedgehog. I also have a Bogner XTC 101b, and a 6L6 Shiva, and the one I use for most gigs is the Suhr. Maybe someday, when I'm not dealing with my 4 kids, 3 bands, and work...I'll get around to tracking some killer tones from the Hedgehog so that I can post them up here.
