Probably around $10K of the exact same guitar, other than look. Play one for five minutes and you're done, because there's no real reason to play the others.

Wow, exciting.

Hey I saw the pic of your pedalboard and you have at least 2 overdrive pedals...pfffft they do the same thing, just different color boxes....

You just showed your ass, as each one of these has a totally different neck, a totally different body, and totally different pickups. THey are all completely different than one another and the ONLY thing they have in common with each other is exactly what you said, they are the same shape and have the same tuner and bridge....EVERYTHING else is different. Actually, they are an investment anyhow...its not like I am going to be dragging them around beating the crap out of them anyhow....the LE's are both prototypes, the Exotic is number 1 modern, and the orange one is the VERY FIRST one off the production line. I will play my dripcaster yeah, and I will probably play these occasionally around the house, but they are more something to hang on the wall and hope they pay off better than the stock market. I am not rich and basically dropped a HUGE chunk of savings on these...they arent a bunch of toys, they are a part of Suhr history....what do you think the prototype Les Paul would be worth today, or the very first Strat off the assembly line??? Granted I am not saying they are on that scale collectibility wise, but they stand a chance.....all depends on JOhn Suhr over the next 10 years...

Very nice. I'm all about that first production Modern. The color is perfect.

No genius, jealousy is what everyone else in this thread has been doing - Lusting and practically salivating over this shallow, senseless, and totally American purchase.

FYI dumbass, jealousy would be a negative reaction to somebody else's good fortune. You're the only one that had anything even remotely negative to say, which would make YOU appear to be the jealous one. And as far as this being a shallow, senseless, and totally American(whatever that is insinuating  ) purchase? Well Klark,we are all dumber for having read that. We collectively thank you for decreasing our IQ's. Maybe next time Red Rider will consult with you before his next "shallow, senseless and totally American purchase." You sir are a tool. :jerkit: And by the way, those guitars totaled much more than 10 grand.

hope you enjoy those guitars for a long, long time. they do look nice.

however im an ESP man at heart

where is morrisville? all i know about is mooresville.

In your first sentence you have to resort to name calling, but you're calling me the dumbass? You seriously believe that jealousy is the only reason for a negative comment, but you're calling me the dumbass? You don't even understand what is meant by the phrase 'American purchase', but you're calling me the dumbass? You seriously believe you're even remotely intelligent enough to 'collectively' speak for members of this forum, but you're calling me the dumbass? You believe it's cool that those guitars cost more than 10K, but you're calling me the dumbass?

Actually, nevermind, please do not waste anymore of your time. I give you my word that I will not attempt to decrease to your IQ any lower, as I am merciful enough to leave you with the little you have left.

 Turn the guys thread sour, sheesh.Nice guitars BTW!!!!!!

Isn't it funny that when you see a Suhr over at TGP and it's loaded with a FLoyd EVERYONE say's, " great guitar expect for the FLoyd" or " I'd buy it if it wasn't for the Floyd" On RigTalk it's the exact opposite.

Anyway, nice guitars. I like the 2 in the middle. Congrats on your American Purchase.  I guess since the economy blows you're not supposed to buy more than 1 guitar at a time?

I am 3 miles from RDU airport. I take it you are in Moorseville...aka nascar country??? LOL

Klark, you are being slammed because you acted like an asshole. First, each one of the guitars is totally different than the other, each has a different type wood for the neck and body, each has different pickups, the only thing the same on them is the model and bridge. Second, they are an investment, not for me to go out gigging with...if you would have read the actual post vice immediately looking at the picture and then slamming me for buying them you would have realized this. THey are part of the history of Suhr guitars, being all the first Moderns ever produced...ummmm DUH. Third, why would you take the time to slam me in the first place?? I dont know you....seems like you are just getting your jollys by hopping in a thread to stir up shit or just felt like trying to slam me for some unknown reason???...IE a freekin Troll....just go back under your rock dude...I dont get it at all...

Congrats!!!

Absolutely stunning guitars. I never thought that I could bond with a guitar more than my PRS SC or my LP but my Suhr Modern with it's 24 frets and Floyd Rose has made all my other guitars take a back seat. The Moderns are exquisite instruments and a real work of art. The fret work is unreal. I have never played a guitar that sounded so "clear".

All I can say is that if I had the cash I would have more of these fine guitars. I lust for the Modern carve tops like no tomorrow :inlove:

You are a very fortunate man to have this collection and history in the making. Congrats on being smart enough and in the position to acquire these.....ENJOY brotha

im about 45-50 minutes outside of mooresville, 10 miles outside of hickory. i used to live in the statesville area for about 4 years during my HS days.

i still troll there every once and a while. i have family up there that i dont really care for. mooresville is all uptown/all rich-boy populated and grown up - their mall is stunning - its not uncommon to be cruising and see 68 camaro's, drag cars, vipers, new caddy's, etc.

nice expensive places to eat up there too :D

nice collection. reminds me of the guy that collects stunning wolfgangs

In my younger years, I probably would have agreed with Klark. Now, I have turned over a new leaf. I am no longer begrudging people of anything. Who knows, maybe the guitars will be worth $15000 each someday. Maybe I would have been that person calling someone stupid for buying 3 1962 Jazz Basses to collect back in the day.

nothing tops those fender pics brad's buddy has =p

thats a perfect example though.

however, i buy gear to play. its a tool to me and a way to express myself.

not a collection, not to look at, not for bragging rights. i use what i use and purchase it for a reason.

each person has their own outlook on these things which makes it cool to see the wide spectrums of gear thats out there and whats being purchased

Agreed. I'm not a collector and will probably never be able to afford to own more than 1 or 2 guitars. But the 2 guitars I do own get played to fuck. I'm not going to lie, if I had money i'd probably own a few nice old Les Pauls and Strats/Teles....but i'd still play the hell out of them! :D

yeah i had to sell my wolfgang to get my ESP

i very rarely purchase guitars, they are very personal for me. i dont have the cash either to float around like some of these guys do, but i wish i did. it would make playing music even more enjoyable/affordable and it would really help the creative part.

but like other working musicians, im always looking for that piece that will allow me to do, what i need to do, more efficiently and easier.

for me the wolfgang < ESP tradeoff was exactly this. an upgrade in a tool.
