Suhr PT 15 users…

I have the chance to trade some gear for one(non ir) and I wanted to see what people thought of them since it’s been out for a while.

I currently have an EVH 5150 iconic. I’ve owned the 6l6 and el34 50 watt heads plus a ton of other tube amps. I currently gig with a line 6 Hx so I got riid of my tube amps a while back.

Does the pt15 still hang today? I read some reviews stating that it is incredibly picky about what cab and Guitars it is paired up with. I’ve also read a few reviews stating that it’s really hard to get a good tone out of it. I was shocked because I’m not seen that in any of the videos.

What are your thoughts?

I had one for a couple of years and it was awesome. Worked killer on a silent stage with the IRs and also in gigs. My only complaint was it needed a tad more power for my gigging situation. So I'm looking forward to the 50 watt version...

Echoing Carl’s thought. Great amp. Loud enough for many. Sounds best with master about 4. Opens the amp up & still not too loud. I found it sounds great with its own 2x12. Not an overly compressed amp, so if you desire that, look elsewhere.
