Wow...for the Hoff to say it's good it probably is...he's had nearly every amp there is.
I've wondered why the Surreal's haven't caught on here....maybe their time has arrived.
The amp show clips with Darren sounded pretty good to me!
Think Jerry's onto something here.
Yeah, Ryan doesn't go all :inlove: for much. He hardly ever posts new amp or guitar days. I know that for a fact  So for him to get all flakey has my attention. :poke:

So what is the difference between the Atomica 100 and the CM 50 other than the obvious wattage? After listening to a LOT of clips I am indeed in love with these amps I just need to figure out which direction to go.

This is one amp that has intrigued me. I know the guys at HCAF have been major dicks to Jerry, and he took some major heat over trying to help out Mark Cameron. Of course that blew up in his face, and he took it like a man. I am becoming more of a rack guy, and would love to see a preamp. Nice to see him get some props, and he deserves the success that is hopefully coming his way.

Well HCAF has went from something I really enjoyed to basically a joke in the last few years with just a small handful of cool cats on there still. Also out of 100 threads there aren't more than 20 that are actually about amps. Too bad it used to be a great resource for information and a blast too. So far in my few emails with Jerry he seems like a really good cat and i'm pretty sure i'm not wrong.

From what I understand,

Hybrid- vox/trainwreck/Cameron collaboration lead
Atomica-Jose fest
CM-50-super plexi see my description above...all have his very well thought out clean.

I'll try for pics, clips tomorrow...

Or glue some feet on it-make it a Darwin fish.

So sonically what is different in the two Jerry, it sounds as if the Atomica gets into more modern territory then? I don't do down tuned metal by any stretch but I do like a nice, big chunky metal kind of sound on tap for when I want to.

I can't say with experience the differences but the Atomica isn't really "meant" for modern down tuned metal (although it has the ability to). It's more a Jose-esque/CCVish Marshall type thing (but it's definitely its own monster and deserves its own recognition).

I have it set up so that my clean is...clean, crunch for classic rock-ish/lower gain metal sounds, channel 2 (solo/lead channel 2) for metal (ala Metallica and more modern stuff). Eventhough they are on the same channel I don't change settings to go from classic rock crunch-lower gain metal stuff (channel 2 non)/from the Metallica amount of gain to more modern stuff (channel 2 lead boost), I change guitars.

I don't have a guitar that sounds bad through the amp but they all sound different which I really like :D

Not to mention all the tones to be had on channel one

Ok, that's what I wanted to know it sounds like it would be perfect.

It really is a winner. Great price too, I really don't think you'd regret it. That is, unless we have opposite ideas on what good tone is, which is always possibility.

True, but I have heard enough clips to have a good idea I love the tone as long as the feel jives with me which I think it would. Thank you for your input.

Not a problem. If you end up getting it, I really hope you enjoy it

Also, if you do-let me know what you end up thinking...

+1 on everything the Hoff said. I bought the CM-50 he had at the show myself!
My "dream plexi Marshall" specs, as pre-cogged by Jerry,....
Huge clean, check
Dirt, scream channels, check.
JTM/800 switch, check
Pull boost, pull bright channel, check
Resonance, slope, check...
Two tone stacks, three volumes...... get outa my head! Haha.....

Like Hoff said too. Stand up guy, beautiful build.

Just got the Mic. Clippies soon.

are all three channels footswitchable then?

Yes!
Clean has a pull "hot" as all....
Oh, and hard bypass for the loop...
Additional level out back for the lead channel so you can crank the front....
Ridiculous feature set...
