I agree, in as much as I always disconnect the reverb connections. Sounds better to my ears.

This pic is horrible. I can tell it’s real too. Poor man...
When my Coli was being upgraded I also asked him about the reverb totally out or disconnected, and he said the same. Also mentioned that guys will request him to totally remove it from the circuit. The ones with reverb do have more gain. I was going to have Mike remove the reverb from one of mine, and he said it wasn’t worth it. Just told me to unplug the tank. Tonal difference with vs without... maybe. But I always like more gain.

Also I remember reading that Metallica pulled the Reverb tanks out of their IIC+'s during the recording of Master of Puppets, they sort of made a joke about it and put the tanks on the producers desk.
