Well, did some reading on AMT website & looks not good, I'll try to find some more info.

Looks like Army of Evil has been discontinued & it will be released, but it won't be sounding the same.

The clips on the website were recorder with 15wt power amp with 1?12 cab/Celestion Vintage 30"->Shure SM58/ SBLive; guitars Fernandes Dragonfly & Ibanez RG550.

Some more info:

Freak Guitar & Army of Evil is the same exact thing - the only difference is the set of tubes they come with. I'm trying to find out what tubes...

EDIT:
ok so Freak Guitar comes with ELECTRO HARMONIX 12ах7 tubes
Army of Evil comes with Russian 6н2п tubes ; does anybody know what the heck that is?

Russian 12AX7 with different filament connection

The 6N2P, (Russian: 6Н2П) also sometimes spelled in English "6H2Pi" is a miniature 9-pin dual triode vacuum tube manufactured in USSR, Russia and China with characteristics similar to the RCA 12AX7. The most significant difference between the two is that 6N2P has its two filament elements connected in parallel, unlike the series filament connection of the 12AX7, and it is thus only possible to operate it from a 6.3 volt, 300 mA filament supply (whereas a 12AX7 may be operated from either 6.3 or 12.6 volts.) The 6N2P also has slightly lower gain than a 12AX7.

Different 6N2P versionsIn the 1970s an improved and more rugged version of the 6N2P was introduced, designated 6N2P-EV (Russian: 6Н2П-ЕВ) Currently, a 12AX7 variant derived from the 6N2P-EV is being produced by Sovtek, under the designation 12AX7WA.

A Chinese version of 6N2P exists, labeled in Latin lettering (instead of Cyrillic) 6N2.

In the 1990s a (now extinct) line of "Red Bear" guitar amplifiers was being produced in Russia by Novik Ltd. and distributed in the United States by Gibson Guitar Corporation. These amplifiers used 6N2P tubes instead of the much more common 12AX7, prompting user modifications of the amplifier to 12AX7, because the original Russian 6N2P was scarcely available outside of Russia.

From what users on their forum say 6N2P version sounds brighter & many seem to prefer it over 12AX7, however they say it's noisy compared to 12AX7. They tend to agree they sound similar enough though, which I guess they should. Their tech guy says there is a switch inside that you need to change to a different position & swap the tubes to change one into another.

They advertise these units as "high quality" modelers of Engl, Bogner, etc. amps, which we can agree they don't sound like at all even in their official clips. That's a good thing they don't.
As I could hear from user samples DI on these things is not good as promised, however everyone who runs it with a tube power amp seems to be very happy.

I use my AMT california with my pod pro xt (and marshalls)

I wanted to add a "boogie-ish" element to my pod pro - I was simply amazed when I plugged it in the 1st time.

Sustain for days (bit noisy when maxed) and A TON of Low End !!

I'm officially a AMT Fan Boy at this point as you can tell.

Thanx for the update
