A cool little clip I found on Youtube. I love both of these guys, Syn maybe a bit faster (maybe) but Slash sure does have some soul.

Between "Snatch" and "Sister Gay""

I will vote for Snatch any day....
 
Gates gets pretty sloppy when he tries to play fast. Not much articulation and he bleeds or slurs notes into each other which comes off as sloppy. Now if you told me he drank a few beers before that solo I'd understand.
 
I've only heard that Gates dude a couple of times. Slash on this one.
 
To be fair, that was one of Syn's earlier solos. His playing has much improved in recent years. He was pretty sloppy then.

Slash is all old and junk. He probably can't even crab core with his decripit old ass.

Agreed ^^^

Slash killed it in this video for sure. But Syn is a damn good guitarist.

Leib you know what kind of music I like :rock: and have never much been into Ax7 at all.

When they first came out they had more Death Metalish vocals and I thought they were ok but after the next couple of albums I really could not get into them at all.

But the new album has some amazing songs and I think he has matured and advanced quite a bit as a guitarist.

I have had the solo from Hail to the King stuck in my head this entire week and that's what got me you tubing Syn, hence the thread post.
 
Both of them can play but I find it hard to take seriously anyone who calls themselves "Synyster Gates". I know - "Slash" isn't that much better. :no:

For the love of God people, what's wrong with "normal" names???

Get off my lawn! :D
