The song is meh but the solo is one of Lynch's cooler efforts in quite some time IMO...he has a bit more fire left than many have given him credit for.

Admittedly, it is good to see George using higher gain and re-visiting a little bit of the glory days, again.

Tichy is one hell of a drummer, but I am hoping that George, Jeff and Mick can keep their "3/4 of Dokken" together, and do some touring.

Heard this the other day... I was rather surprised! I liked the tune enough and i thought the solo was kickin for Lynch new or old. that's right, as the OP mentioned, a very good effort! Sounds like he actually thought out a solo rather than just winging it.

-1 point for the opening drum riff being very PAIN KILLLLLLAAAAAAAAAA (imagine Halford singing that )

Drummer is great. Production sounds really nice too.

Actually he is going to tour with them this summer! He will sing many of the Dokken tunes and Pilson will sing all the T&N originals and Lynch/Pilson originals.

George confirmed this recently. They also will be releasing the second album this summer.

BTW, the song is growing on me a bit with a few more listens...and still loving the solo.

T&N is Lynch, Pilson and Tichy. All the original songs on that album are them. Tichy actually suggested they bring in Mick Brown to track the Drums on the Dokken re-makes.

So Mick is only on the Dokken songs.

But the touring band will be Lynch, Pilson, Tichy, and Sweet

Cool, thanks. Originally, I believe the idea was to have Sweet sing on the album but it didn't pan out. I was hoping maybe there was some stuff that would leak out. Love or hate Stryper, Sweet was and still is an amazing singer.
