Basswood body
"Maple Neck" and "Maple Fretboard"

The body is stupid, "don't get into a bar fight with it" light, and the neck always felt like it was made out of compressed sawdust....

It did look good though.... 5lb, 13oz featherweight

But I never jived with it... The neck never felt right, so I stripped the pickguard and put it in the closet ...

Last weekend, I decided to give it another shot, threw a built pickguard I had in the stash on it and tried it again...

and I had also posted on another forum that I was looking for a Maple Neck, better if it was a reverse headstock/lefty neck...

A dude offered up a Lefty Tele Maple Neck for the cost of shipping... Deal

Knowing the Strat and Tele neck heel/pocket are different, and Tele neck on a Strat body is the harder swap, I pulled the neck on the victim...

Although the pocket looks like it was chiseled out by a dull beaver 🦫, it is already almost squared...

It drops in, but I will be looking at cleaning up the pocket a bit

Fender neck pockets had mouse ears similar to that for a while just because of the router bits they used.

I have a Tele neck on a Strat body too, but I ended up ordering a Strat body with a Tele pocket from Warmoth.

This neck's heel isn't really squared off.. it has a radius to it...

No idea what brand guitar it came from, come to find out, the guy the gave it to me was given it from someone else...

No headstock decal, only "1293" hand written on the neck heel
