Take a look at how Musician's Friend packs and ships an amp?

I bought a Gibson LP off ebay a few years back and the box was half-ripped open by the time it got to me. It's a good thing it was in a HSC, because I can't imagine what it would have looked like otherwise.

That is fucking ridiculous. Regardless of what it is, no amp should be shipped that way.

And that's coming from a guy who knows how to ship stuff the right way and who's also been on the short end of an inadequate pack job (albeit with more far-reaching implications than this one).

One of their suggestions was that in the future I should request extra packing materials when I place an order (quoted for accuracy) -

"For future reference, if an order is placed via phone and you request someone to take additional time and packing materials and further pack the unit before it is shipped this can be done."

That is just a pure lack of not caring!!!! I would be all over them!!

That is just plain awful

I hope you get it rectified.

Does this cost extra money?

This doesn't surprise me a bit. I can't tell you how many times they tried to sell me returned shit as new. Fuck MF.

Yikes! Packing amps is an art, even paid professionals get it wrong.

Heres how I received a ROV combo

I got an Ultra Plus wrapped in a Huggies box taped directly to the head shell.

I pack mine amps for a nuclear war!

I guess people are too cheap and or too lazy to do it right the first time.

Yeah, even styrofoam peanuts would have been better than nothing.

Terrible!

Someone was not doing their job that day and probably most!
