I felt the need to express how pleased I am with the customer service provided by Sweetwater. I ordered a demo model of the Schecter KM-6 at very reasonable (haggled) price. The guitar arrived with 10-46 strings on it. Certainly wasn't conducive for Drop C tuning IMO. I restrung the guitar with 11-54's. I really liked everything about the guitar. I just couldn't get it to setup right. It needed some fret/nut work and I couldnt get the intonation correct. I made a call to return the guitar. The sent me to the tech support. I explained my issues and my setup process. He agreed that there needed to be some work done on the guitar. Their solution. To send me a brand new guitar and have it setup by their techs. Using my string of choice (D'addario NYXL 11-56) Plekking the frets etc... The guitar showed up yesterday .... it smokes ! Super stoked with it. They even threw in an extra pack of strings. This is how you treat customers. They have certainly earned all of my retail purchases. Just wanted to share.

Yeah I'd have to agree that their customer service has been good to me also. So far they've been top notch in that department for me

Their 55 point inspection is a joke though! I picked up an RG Premium a while back and boxed it back up for return as fast as I unpacked it. The screws that mounted the tuners were sticking out a ways on multiple tuners and screwed in at an angle leaving considerable gaps between the tuning machine and the headstock. There was also a nice gouge in one of the saddles. I think the tech doing the 55 point inspection on that one should go get his eyes checked or quit huffing dust-off; or both

They took care of me no question and refunded me. They did offer a discount if I wanted to keep that guitar as it was, but it wasn't worth it to me.

Wow, that is insane. Good score.

I have always had great service with them, also good deals on pricing but I have to agree the 55 point inspection is a complete joke. It is a hassle when you get a jacked up guitar because then you have to return it. I went through this but the guitar was brand new anyway so i guess there was not much they could do besides a swap or a refund but yeah...Excellent service, poor inspections.

TWICE, I received an amp with issues, (both times they were "open box"). One of them, a Helios 50 - it had a transformer that was bent to shit, and the effects loop kept making popping sounds, that wasn't a tube. They sent me a BRAND NEW one, at the price of open box, and a call tag to return the old one.

They did the same with an SG that had a multitude of issues, (though it was brand new). I decided to upgrade to an LP Traditional, and they shipped it immediately with a call tag for the SG, and didn't charge me the additional upfront, but added it to the payoff on the next two payments.

Yes, I have to agree. Their support has always been stellar.

I purchased my Butterslax from Sweetwater and received excellent service from them as well. Arrived in time, and was practically new for being a demo model. When I got it, my sales rep called me to make sure everything was good. Ended up picking a seven string from them as well like 1 week later and same level of service. Reaching out to them now about a Peavey Invective  .

I agree. I would NEVER buy an "open box" anything from them. More than once, (on amps), they arrived fucked up. Don't see how they can claim "fully tested", or "inspected".

And, I've received a number of guitars new, that had obvious flaws. Some that Ronny Milsap would have seen. But, they've ALWAYS made good on it. I've spent well over $50,000 with them.

Oh yeah! I was like what 55 point inspection!!!? If this guitar passed a 55 point inspection, we have some major problems, here!

I ordered an HSS Strat with Floyd Rose from them via eBay a few years ago. I didn't read the description closely enough, but it said "standard tremolo." The photo, however, had a FR on it, which is what I wanted. You can imagine my disappointment when I unpacked the guitar. I called and explained that I should have read the description better, but that they had the wrong photo on there, which is what I based my decision on. Of course, the FR model was $200 more. No matter. They sent me the right guitar immediately and an RMA label to send back the wrong guitar, no charge for the upgraded model.

Ive got a ton of deals with those guys, they have always done me right, even through multiple returns

AAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDD they will match the best prices too. They are the best
