Jack did play with Jimi, Winterland '68 IIRCI saw Jorma and Jack at Skipper's in Tampa. I don't think it was booked as Hot Tuna. Must've been around '05 or so. Great show but lemme tell you what, Casady has to be the best rock bassist in history. He stole the show. Wasn't even really the flash, it was just his whole groove. Apparently there had been talk of him and Hendrix getting together for a project in the 60's but it never materialized but that would've truly been something epic.
Yeah but an actual collaborative project never materialized. That would've been something. Casady was kind of like the Hendrix of the bass guitar in his day IMO.Jack did play with Jimi, Winterland '68 IIRC
Stunning live performance in '73.
One of the times jimmy happened to be on…he’s such an enigma to me bro…like we’ve talked about before…lol
This one is being especially dedicated to my friend @JohnnyGtar You should check out the whole album bro, it's Cain's best work so far.
That song hit home for me big time. My old man got me started too. Didn't want me messing with his axe. Guess who didn't listen? Yeah that's right, lol. I need to go see him this fall or winter and get the hell outta Texas for a week or so...."I love Chris Cain." - John Lee Hooker
