Remember the episode of the Drew Carey show where they auditioned guitarists for the band?

yessir.. She was a beautiful woman, indeed.
Sad deal. Just lost my Dad a week ago, and death is far too familiar to me these days. I don’t wish that pain upon anyone.
may she Rest In Peace, and her family find comfort in this difficult time.

i didn't know the matthew sweet guy then; in the '90's![]()
So sorry to hear that, I know how you’re feeling all too well. I lost my Mom in November, my Dad 20 months earlier, one of my best friend/bandmates 5 weeks later, and his wife passed a few months ago. Been a shitty two years, but we’ve gotta get through it for our own families. The sorrow doesn’t seem to subside, you just learn to live with it.I’m betting pills (pain killers) and booze. Lost a friend to that last fall.

yea, i noticed that. that show was really good...back in the day!Pretty cool they didn't just stick big names in.
The Johnny Lang one was best one imo, but watch the Ramone segment again:
The three guys absolutely lose it when Joey catches the guitar cord while walking away.
Sorry for your loss, 2020-21 have already been trying times as they were, losing a parent is a notch above.

Same to you, Chris, appreciate it.Condolences on your losses as well - losing a loved one, especially when you didn't see it coming, is a total gut punch. Hope things settle down for you and you can get out of the cycle of mourning. That's gotta be tough.
I went through something similiar. So sorry to hear that, I know how you’re feeling all too well. Man, you got hit brutally hard also, so sorry to hear that. All we can do is try and emerge from it stronger and wiser. And like you, I cherish my 12 year old daughter, and no sacrifice is too great. She is by far the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me (and my IIC++)I went through something similiar.
My Mother and Grandmother passed away 2 days apart one year ago., then my Mother in Law got diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer during Covid and my wife is a nurse at a large hospital which brought on an extremely challenging dynamic during Covid, nobody knew what was going on then, even the orangehead pigface president joked about it, it was so sketchy and no joke.
I also lost my main dude of dude's and 20 year bandmate to cancer 6 months after that.
From surviving this I learned that something like this is too much to take in such a short period of time.
There is no obvious answer and surviving the challenging days and moments revealed those answers.
And love your baby's man. I have a 11 year old son & 13 year old daughter.
Sacrificing for them taught me so much about what love is.
I cherish every moment with them, gosh, there's nothing like the moment when I make eye contact them .
Much love to you!
