I have a rack setup with an asa mp1 and jmp1. I have the tc gmajor 2 but it sounds terrible. I have it in series from the preamp out into then out to the power amp. The signal is wet and sound back no matter what I do. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. Any input?

I am not really sure without a lot of details, but to improve the pure bypassed tone, you have to mess with the input and output settings. I almost always find having the output range high makes it sound more synthetic. Lowering the range a few notches seems to help it be more transparent. As far as the signal being wet, I assume you mean the effects are very strong, so just turn down the mix on them.

Is there a Global wet or do you have to do it to ever fx in the preset?

You have to do it in every effect. However, the left big knob scrolls through the mix settings, so that is pretty easy.

The main things you would want to check before that also, is if you have it in killdry mode, and the routing. If you are not using a parallel mixer, you want killdry off. I assume you want it off if you have it in series between the preamp and poweramp. The other thing you want to check is your routing. You can select series, parallel, semi-parallel etc..... I generally like semi-parallel if I am not using it in a parallel mixer. That is where all the effects are in series except reverb and delay are in parallel. If I am using a parallel mixer, I tend to use it in parallel, so that all the blocks are in parallel with each other.

I think I need to add a rack mixer for my setup. Kill dry is off.
