Hey guys.
Looking at buying an effects system for my guitar / amp. I just want something
to color my tone, not for distortion. But, I might use from time to time to go to a PA.
I can get both of these used for about the same price.
Digitech RP1000 or a Nova TC system?

Anyone have both systems if so, which is better tone wise with your rig may I ask?

Thanks
T

Most important question needs to be answered first. Do you need 4-cable method? If so, Nova system is not going to work for you. I've owned both and the effects in the TC were better in my opinion.

Hi JerEvil.

I don't know what that is. I did see that Digitech has this, but it wasn't explained on the review I read about it in. What does it do may I ask?

I really just need some good reverbs, delays, pitch shifting from time to time, mostly...

Thanks so much in advance.

The Nova System is a great unit. The effects are very clean and sound great. I wish I would have kept mine instead of going to the G-Major 2.

As long as you only want fx in the loop, get the nova. It's designed for unity gain use and it really doesn't negatively affect your amp sound standing all. The fx overall are pretty good. If it's just for reverb, delay, chorus, pitch, you'll be happy with the nova and it's easy to use too.

Thanks guys. I looked up the 4 cable method and it has it's advantages such as a clean that I can't get with my amp that the effects would do, but I feel like they never do it well. So, I'm going to use this in the loop. I have plenty of gain on hand, etc, if needed. I also may use a boost on my amp just to give me a boost for lead, but otherwise, I want good reverbs, delays especially, and some pitch shifting from time to time, but I want something that doesn't sound so damned cheap like a lot of effects / multi effects do it seems to me. I'm able to buy this thing and save money over several pedals is my thinking and save room.
Thanks so much.

Yeah, get the nova. It does exactly what you just asked for and it does it extremely well.
