Finally got around to watching this video. I got a little confused at the end when you were describing this scale. So I went ahead and wrote out the G major and E minor scales. Then I looked at the pentatonic versions of the scales, then the blues scales.
You're doing more than adding F# and C# when you get to the "super blues scale;" you're also adding the D#, which gives you the leading tone back to the root. That reminds me of both the harmonic minor and melodic minor scales.

FWIW, I do not want to concentrate on this during our lesson today.

I like Kyle's stuff and he seems like he'd be a pretty decent guy in person. Hopefully he wouldn't be upset by a little harmless friendly forum ripping.

Yeah. Sorry. I used to watch most of his stuff. But I think in his mind he got bigger than he really is. But he's making money demoing a bunch of gear with subscribers and I'm not :dunno:

Actually, my biggest beef was more of his thin skinned approach to negative feedback. So he would be upset by a little harmless friendly forum ripping.

Maybe the safety glasses are for preventing tomato splatter from getting in his eyes?

I haven't watched his content in a bit. Then he really hasn't demoed much in the last year or so that I'm interested in. I think the last one I paid attention to was when he did a Lenz amp. I just appreciate that he does a simple amp, cab mic setup without all the IR's and 20 pedals running through everything.

He and some other geartubers did get butthurt over negative feedback like it was their first day on the internet; didn't they? Oh well. If you can't take a little heat then maybe TGP is the place for you.
