I've been suffering from some MAJOR tele gas for a while now. SOOOO lets fuel my fire and show me YOUR telecasters

I keep buying and selling low-end Teles... aiming for one of those cheap Fender baritones this summer.

no problem:

American Standard with new pickguard and Duncan Little 59' in the bridge. I would not be able to cope if this guitar was ever lost or stolen. I've owned a bunch of Teles and this one just has "IT".

My wife found this for me when she was antique shopping.

How about a hot rodded tele. The pic's don't do it justice.

What is the story with that one, I remember that model vaguely but know it is special.

Here is my many years in the works Andy Summers clone that I am hoping to drop off for final assembley this week, forum's own Ratter from Switchback made the body for me,

Yes the bridge is solid brass milled from a block from a guy in texas and all cloth wiring is from a 1950s telephone switchboard for some mojo.

My best sounding guitar out of all my strats, super strats,jacksons,gibsons,ect..
Fender custom swamp ash w/quilt top, drop tuner,McVay bender and Fralin pickups..Im goin for another one too. This one not only handles twang very nicely, but also excels at shred and metal just as well..

I'm about to buy one today! Tried this incredible 2012 USA Fender Tele over the weekend. They wouldn't budge another $49 on top of the $100 Fender instant rebate so I walked, but I can't stop thinking about it. Must buy it! 3 tone burst, contoured back, custom shop pickups, and an incredible maple neck. I shall return with pics once it's shipped to me!

FYI - the 2012 models are deadly!

It's an '89 James Burton Sig Tele. I replaced the original Lace Sensor pickups back in '95 with a set that Lindy Fralin wound for it...sounds amazing. This was a workhorse for me back in the 90's but hadn't seen much use since until recently when I took it off mothballs for my blues project.

That Summers build looks cool...first thing I noticed was the bridge. Did you have the keyhole saddles machined or are they off of another bridge?

I got the entire bridge assembly from this place,

http://www.armadilloguitar.com/main/

I believe he machines everything and does nice work, holes lined up perfect and it weighes a ton.

Here's mine:

Fender J5 artist (mexico) body
Warmoth q sawn mahogany tele neck w/ ebony board
Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the neck position
MCP Afwayu (underwound) in the bridge position
Push/pull tone splits both pups
Sperzel locking tuners w/ d thing

This axe can cover a lot of ground...

This is an older pic of my JD-Tele - an ebay accident in 2004. Nice tone, unfortunately I do not like the v-shaped neck that much.
